Engr. Salahuddeen M. Tahir is a seasoned oil and gas professional with over twenty-three (23) years of distinguished experience spanning engineering, project delivery, asset and investment management and gas infrastructure development. He currently serves as the Managing Director of NNPC Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO) Ltd, a strategic subsidiary of NNPC Limited. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of NETCO, he served as Head, Asset and Investment Management at NNPC Gas and Power Investment Services (NGPIS) Ltd (October 2022 – September 2025), where he oversaw NNPC’s interests in LNG, power, and gas-based industries. His earlier rolesinclude Manager, Planning and Budget at NGIC; Project Engineer and Technical Assistant to the Managing Director of NGPTC Ltd; Superintendent roles across gas supply coordination and gas processing facilities; and core technical positions within NAPIMS and NNPC Research & Development. Engr. Tahir has received numerous professional commendations and awards in recognition of his outstanding contributions to engineering excellence, gas infrastructure development, and strategic transformation within Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
