Faizan Hassan has 15 years of business development experience pursuing Upstreamand Midstream opportunities in North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He is currently ExxonMobil's General Manager for Commercial & Development in Nigeria. In this role, he is responsible for working with ExxonMobil's co-venturers and government agencies to enable growth and the development of new resources Faizan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has spent the majority of his career in commercial and business development roles spanning commodities trading, fiscal agreements, strategy and capital allocation, development planning, and acquisitions and divestments. Professionally, he is a passionate believer in structuring deals that provide a mutually beneficial and sustained growth platform for all parties. Faizan is married and has two children (ages five and one) who keep him happily occupied during evenings and weekends. He has been living in Lagos with his family since 2023 and enjoys days spent at the beach and evening exploring Lagos's vibrant restaurant scene.
